It’s my first time to attend the MYOH (Make Your Own Havaianas) and it was so cool. Actually, I was the first person to arrived on the spot together with my sister. We’re already on the location at around 8am and the mall will open around 9am. I guess were just too much excited on the fact that i’ll be able to see how a Havaianas flip flop is going to be assembled on the spot. I missed the MYOH last 2008 and 2007 because I was busy for work but now it’s my lucky year because I’ve finally  made it!

This is the color and style of my Havaianas. It has a Philippine Map cultural pin. My preferential pin is the Tarsier but unfortunately it doesn’t suit on my straps color. The Lomo Cam also caught my eye but again it really doesn’t go along with my baby blue straps and pink soles. So I made up my mind and settled on the Philippine Map and I’m really impressed on how it look on my flipflop. I also add some swarovski stone embellishments on the sides of the straps.

I bought three (3) pairs of havaianas for my sister and for my sister’s bestfriend. They both chose a blue dominant  combination. One thing I don’t like is the style and color of their bag…It’s color black with a red slipper name tag. I think it’s “baduy” and maybe because i can’t appreciate red color. <sorry, peace & no offense>

Overall, it was a nice experience and I will definitely come back next year’s MYOH 2010.

People vs. Tomolin

Criminal Law

FACTS:

On the 5th day of October, 1994, in the municipality of Paranaque, Metro Manila., Philippines accused Emarjonel Francisco Tomolin, with intent to kill, without justifiable cause, and with treachery and evident premeditation, feloniously attacked, assaulted and shoot with a gun, Rolando Virtudes and Alfredo Ayeras thereby inflicting to both victims serious and mortal gunshot wounds which caused their death.

Accused-appelant, during his testimony, admitted shooting Rolando and Alfredo, but claimed self-defense. He claimed that at around 12:45 AM, Tomolin approached the front gate of the building to turn over the watchman’s clock to Alfredo. He alleged that Alfredo and Rolando directed insulting words at him, and Rolando even poked his gun against his chest. Rolando also slapped accused-appellant and tried to grab his service firearm. They both grappled for the gun, and in the ensuing struggle, he shot Rolando. After shooting Rolando, Alfredo tried to grab his hand and after a brief struggle he shot Alfredo.

Narciso Bistel however, also with the victims during the incident, belied the testimony of Tomolin. He testified that accused-appelant shot Rolando at his back while the latter was seated and writing on the logbook and Alfredo while his back was faced against the accused-appelant.

Medico Legal findings matched with the testimony of Narciso Bistel upon examination of the gunshot wounds.

ISSUE:

Whether or not self-defense was properly invoked in this case.

RESOLUTION:

Self Defense was not properly invoked in this case because of the wanting of the first requisite of self defense which is unlawful aggression, an actual, sudden and unexpected attack or imminent danger on the life and limb of the person defending himself.

2. I’m dying to upgrade my PSP 2000 to PSP Go. I supposed I’ll be a proud owner of that gadget this November 2009.

3. I want a pair of IPANEMA Premium & Gisele Bunchen Sand Collection. I bought a GRENDHA sandal last week and I love the fit and it looks good on my feet. Maybe an Ipanema Flipflop will add to my collection.

4. We just bought a new XBOX 360 week ago and new Samsung HDTV but my boyfriend is the only one loving the whole thing because he loves to play RPG games. What I’m thinking is…I want a LIPS Game with the microphone or a guitar in XBox used to play in Rockband. So that, I’ll be having a good time too with the kind of game i like.

5. Maybe a driving lesson will do. Although this is not a material thing but it’s a lot of help knowing how to drive a car.
